10 Radio Singles & a Murder Ballad

Greetings kind folks of the internet,

A brief public service announcement — call your mothers; it’s mother’s day.

Our new record “10 Radio Singles & a Murder Ballad” is available at Vintage Vinyl in St Louis and at all shows. We’re really pleased with how it looks and sounds — thanks especially to Greg MacNair (artwork, violins), Mark Taylor (cover art, back art) & Kathleen Thro (BGVs, accordian) & Patrick Hunt who mixed & helped track things & made sure we had the right microphones.

Thanks to everyone who came to the Kirksville shows & The Red Sea last night. We made some friends at Squirrelfest (www.MySpace.com/TheAquaticRecord.com) & played an impromptu show with them at The Info Shop in Kirksville. And they played with us at The Red Sea last night & we met some more fine folks (www.MySpace.com/Ottomen) & played yet more new tunes & the rock n roll was heard by all.

Tonight at practice I *think* we finished a new tune called History & it’s gonna be a radio single, I swear. With History on the list we’re looking at 12-17 tunes the new record. Its working title is Album #3. We’re tracking June 10-15, maybe 10 or 12 hour days, hoping to do at least drums & bass, maybe guitars & keys too. Drop me a line if you want to bring us lunch one of those days.
-Joe
